Valerian Lyimo Who died on 24th July 2007 in Moshi and buried on 29th July 2007 at Moshi. I start in the Name of the God the Almighty. Salamun Alaikum, Praise be to Jesus. Amen. We are all gathered here to say farewell to our beloved Friend, Teacher and Leader Valerian Lyimo. I have been associated with Valerian since 20 years and found Valerian to be a genial personality, hard working and caring. After he returned from USA to Tanzania he had been actively involved in Tanzania Optometric Association and I was his secretary for nearly 6 years. On behalf of my family, All Optometrists and myself I convey our condolences to Mama Lyimo, Children and Family members. Last night I talked to our friends in USA, Dr. Ian Berger & Vasu and he was very shocked and sad to hear of Valerian’s sudden death and he has asked me to convey his sincere condolences to Mama Lyimo and Family. Today Valerian is no longer with us but we all say Kwaheri to him and he will be remembered forever by all of us. This is all God’s plan. May Almighty rest his soul in peace Amen.
